Why should you donate to the Watts PTA?

At Watts, the PTA is the single largest source of discretionary funding for supplies, technology, enrichment and additional professional development opportunities, by far. By giving to the PTA, each dollar can be leveraged to provide needed resources not just for one classroom, but for the whole school.

The PTA contributes $200 per child per year to the school. This is more than the district ($95/year per child) and the state contributions ($75/year per child) combined.

This support is more crucial than ever, as Watts recently lost its status as a Title I school, forfeiting over $100,000 of annual funding. Therefore, the PTA needs to step up to help our school continue to be a great place for our children.

The PTA's funding pays for classroom materials, field trips, teacher training and certifications, educational support, family events, Hispanic and Black History Month celebrations, playground improvements, and more! Every single request made by a teacher or staff member was able to be funded last year thanks to the PTA.
